Techniques and patterns for soil and water conservation and ecological rehabilitation in pastoral area

The soil and water loss in pastoral areas of China is the most important issue for the project of ecological rehabilitation. The ecological rules must be followed and the selfrehabilitation function of the ecological system must be fully realized and used for water and soil conservation. Based on situations and experience of soil and water conservation in pastoral areas, the technologies and patterns, such as the harmonious synthesis between human beings and the nature, should be realized. Meanwhile, the relationships among different components within ecosystem should be scientifically analyzed during the ecological rehabilitation.
