Simulation of grassland vegetation productivity and its influencing factors

  • Estimating grassland net primary productivity accurately is one of the main problems for the global terrestrial carbon–nitrogen cycle. This study examined the impact of human activity and climate change on vegetation productivity and its mechanisms and reviewed the development and progress and research status of methods used to estimate vegetation productivity. This included statistical models, parameter models, and process models. Based on the research progress of various productivity models, this paper discussed the limitations of the models in the study of grassland ecosystems. This can provide a reference for future research on vegetation productivity to select more suitanle research methods according to different research objectives.
